FAQ
Questions before you share location
Short answers about shade, privacy, and Pro. The legal versions are the Privacy Policy and Terms.
Does Coolpark collect my data?
No. Coolpark does not collect, sell, or upload your location, parked spots, or settings. Shade math and your list of spots stay on this iPhone or iPad.
Why does Coolpark need location?
To draw shade on the streets around you. Location is used on the device to load public map data nearby. It is not sent to Coolpark servers — we don’t have any.
How does the shade map work?
Coolpark reads public OpenStreetMap buildings, trees, and curbs, then computes where shadows fall for the time you pick. Weather can dim the overlay on cloudy days. Treat it as a strong estimate, not a guarantee.
Do I need an account?
No. There is no Coolpark login. Purchases go through Apple. If you delete the app, the local list goes with it.
What is Coolpark Pro?
The app is free to start. Pro unlocks the full day scrubber, ranked spots that stay cool for your stay, and shade alerts before the sun hits your parked car. Price and trial are on the App Store paywall.
Will it work in my city?
Anywhere Apple Maps or Google Maps can show streets, and OpenStreetMap has buildings or trees. Dense downtowns look best. Zoom in if the area is too wide.
Don’t come back to an oven.
Free on the App Store. Ready when the pavement is not.
